4 Simple Sandwiches for Bread Lovers

Who enjoys eating sandwiches? I do!! The thought of preparing simple sandwiches can be dreadful to some. Sandwiches can be eaten as a snack at any time or as a wholesome meal. It all depends on the fillings that you create.

There are many varieties of bread that you can experiment with while making your sandwiches at home. They are white whole wheat loved by children, wholemeal, sourdough, multigrain, and many more.

The 4 simple sandwiches that I am sharing here today are quick, fast, and easy to make. Most of the ingredients you can find in your home.

Sandwich No 1 – Egg Sandwiches

4 slices of bread (of your own choice)

2 boiled eggs

2 tablespoon mayonnaise

½ onion finely chopped

2 dashes of salt & white pepper


1.  In a bowl, grate or mash 2 boiled eggs. Then add mayonnaise, onion, salt and pepper.  Place this filling in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes before making your sandwiches.

2.  Once the mixture is combined, apply it to your bread.  Cut your sandwich into 2 parts. Done. Enjoy your sandwich.

Sandwich No 2 – Tuna Sandwiches

4 slices of bread (of your own choice)

3 tablespoon tuna flakes (in oil or water)

2 heaped tablespoon mayonnaise

½ onion finely chopped

1 tablespoon finely grated carrot

2 dashes of salt & white pepper

4 Lettuce leaves


1.  In a bowl, add tuna, mayonnaise, onion, carrot, salt & pepper. Once the mixture is combined, you are ready to assemble your sandwich.

2.  Put 2 lettuce leaves on your bread, and then put the filling on top. Done. Your sandwich is ready. Cut your sandwich as you desire.

Sandwich No 3 – Club Sandwich

3 slices bread (of your own choice)

4 Lettuce Leaves

1 pan fried egg well done (add a dash of salt & pepper)

2 slices chicken ham

1 slice cheese

4 slices tomato & cucumber

2 tablespoon mayonnaise


1.  Toast your bread, then apply mayonnaise on all 3 slices. Place some lettuce on the 1st slice, followed by the pan-fried egg and chicken ham.

2. Now place the 2nd slice on top of the 1st, top up with more lettuce, cheese slice and place some tomatoes and cucumber.

3. Lastly, place the 3rd slice on top to complete your sandwich. Done. Your sandwich is ready. Cut it diagonally and serve.

Sandwich No 4 – Chicken Fillet Sandwich

4 slices of bread (of your own choice)

8 chicken fillets (large)

½ cup buttermilk (¼  cup yogurt & ¼  cup milk)

½ teaspoon chilli flakes, ½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt

2 cups oil for frying

For flour mixture

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon chilli flakes, ½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon salt

Assembling the sandwich

2 tablespoon mayonnaise & 1 teaspoon chilli sauce (mix together)

4 Lettuce leaves

6 slices tomatoes and 6 sliced cucumbers


1.  In a bowl, marinate chicken fillets, buttermilk, chilli flakes, pepper, garlic powder and salt. Leave the marination for at least 2 hours.

2.  In another bowl, prepare the flour mixture as above.

3. After 2 hours, take a fillet at a time and coat it with the flour mixture well until you complete all 8. Now heat up some oil to start frying the fillets. Once the oil is hot, drop in 2 fillets at a time and fry them until they are brown and crispy. Repeat the same procedure until you finish all 8 fillets.

4.  Now toast 2 slices of bread lightly, apply mayonnaise on both sides.

 5. Arrange lettuce, 3 slices of tomatoes and cucumber and lastly top up with 4 fried fillets on top and close the sandwich. You can add some more mayonnaise and chilli sauce if you desire. Done. Time to indulge in this tasty sandwich.

In my opinion, the above 4 simple sandwiches are easy and hassle-free to prepare. For those who don’t have any experience in cooking, I would suggest you try them and you will be amazed by the results!!
