2 Tasty & Delicious Omelettes

Who doesn’t love omelettes?  If you add the right ingredients to it, then you will find it very delicious and appetizing. Making omelettes is an easy task. All you need to do is to get the correct ingredients first.

Besides having omelettes for breakfast, you can also have them for brunch or dinner. These omelettes are suitable for weight-watchers as their oil content is low.

Omelette No 1 – ChickenTikka Omelette (Serves 2)

Ingredients

4 eggs

1 small onion (finely chopped)

1 green chilli (finely sliced)

1 small tomato (chopped small)

1 tablespoon coriander leaves (finely chopped)

1/8 teaspoon salt

3 fillet chicken tikka

1 tablespoon oil

 For chicken tikka

3 fillet chicken, 1 tablespoon oil

1/8 teaspoon salt

¼  teaspoon chilli powder

¼ teaspoon coriander powder

¼ teaspoon cumin powder

¼ teaspoon garam masala

½ teaspoon ginger & garlic paste

¼ teaspoon lemon juice

A pinch of orange & red colour

Method

1.  Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl, marinate it for at least 2 hours. You may also marinate it overnight for better flavour. 

2. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil and pan-fry the fillets for 3 minutes on a non-stick frying pan.

3.  Once it is done, cut the fillets into 1.5 cm size pieces and put them aside.

4.  In a bowl put eggs, onion, chilli, tomato, coriander leaves, salt, and chicken tikka pieces.

5.  Take a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and wait for 30 seconds until the pan is hot. Now put the above mixture on it.

6. Pan fry the omelette for 1 minute on medium heat on one side. Then turn to the other side and continue for another minute.  Once it’s slightly golden in colour, it’s ready to be served. Enjoy your flavourful omelette!!

Omelette No 2 – Vegetable Omelette (Serves 2)

Ingredients

4 eggs

1 small onion (finely chopped)

1 green chilli (finely sliced)

1 small tomato (chopped small)

1 tablespoon coriander leaves (finely chopped)

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 small boiled potato (cut into small cubes)

¼ teaspoon chilli powder

¼ coriander powder

1 tablespoon oil

Method

 1.  In a bowl put eggs, onion, chilli, tomato, coriander leaves, & cubed potato.

2.  Now add in salt, chilli powder, and coriander powder and mix well.

3. Heat up a frying pan. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil and put the above mixture.

4.  Pan fry the omelette for 1 minute on medium heat. 

5.  Then turn to the other side and continue for another minute. Once it’s slightly golden in colour, it’s ready to be served.  Enjoy your delicious omelette!!

Final thoughts

In my opinion, eggs are very nutritious and are a good source of protein. They are not only easily available but also cheap. Eggs can give you Vitamin B6, B12, and Vitamin D.

I would like to recommend using a 6-inch frying pan when making the above omelettes for better results.  For the Chicken Tikka omelette, do prepare the chicken tikka 1 day ahead to save time. For omelette lovers, a piece of advice, do give these omelettes a try today. You will not regret it.
