The goal of mindfulness meditation is to get more comfortable with your thoughts. When certain thoughts appear to your mind, it is important to acknowledge them while still ensuring that you focus on your breathing. This is to stabilize your thoughts and to make sure that your mind does not wander around during the meditation.
Method #2: Listening to Music
Music can play a huge role in helping you to release stress. Music that is upbeat can lighten your mood and make you feel more positive, whereas slow music can soothe your mind and relax your muscles.
Customising a playlist for yourself is highly recommended. For instance, adding lo-fi music into your playlist can help you to sleep better or to calm your nerves when you’re feeling tensed up.

Personally, I was inspired to write on this topic as I noticed how stressed the people around me started to feel once the pandemic started, including myself. During these tough times, it is important to take care of your mental health as much as your physical one.
